GNOME FOUND!!!!

Gnome was found! Congratulations Gerilynn!!!! Great job!

If you Google Mekki, you will find Rice Mill and Simon and Garfunkel sang "Bridge Over Troubled Water". So he was under the bridge at Rice Mill!!! BTW- Geri got it with just the clue MEKKI. I added the Simon and Garfunkel to see who else would get it. Emmalee got it but it was a little too late!!! (Sorry Chuck and Jenny. I know you had church.)
I know Gerilynn is cooking up a great place to hide him next- but it may have to just be a picture since I broke him!!!

Additional clue

MEKKI SIMON AND GARFUNKEL

First clue solved!!!

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! Jessica and Gerilynn solved the first clue so they have a written clue. If they don't find the gnome from that I will post a clue later tonight.

I will explain the first clue- if you still want to figure it out by yourself, don't scroll down.....

It was the Jameson Inn!!! Place of refuge (for New Orleans cousins). Place of old- "Inn". Put AMA (American Medical Association) in Jameson and you have James Amason!!!!

More on clue 1

The place has two words. the first one is the one you put letters in to spell a name (first and last)

Clarification

The medical group acronym goes in between the letter of the place's name and then it spells a person's name!!!!

They found Gnomer in a bush at the Regions Bank sign behind Burger King.

The AREAS in the first clue (regions) with the side of the river (bank) then the map had a picture of the bushes.
Now they get to hide the gnome and give clues!

This was fun. Thanks for playing!

Second clue for hiding place

Oh I wish i were beside the river but I'll stay in this bush. I have a good view of many good things.
I'll send you a map of my area if you need one.

Gnomer hidden!

Hello all,

I have finally reached my hiding place. I'm in a more public place than before and not in plain sight. It may take you several clues to find me!

Remember: gnomes like areas of grass and low bushes

Good luck,
Gnomer

(I'll send another clue soon. Please find me before I get wet. I am in a plastic bag though.)

2nd Round Winner

CONGRATULATIONS, JENNY!

Jenny found the second password.

It was in a "North by Northwest" (Cary Grant movie)direction from the first place, in Rice Cemetery (MERCY ICE TREE) behind the sign. The cemetery is on Bluebird (colorful flying animal) Trail.

Emmalee and Jenny are tied! The rest of you need to work harder to catch up (unless you're working together!)

********* Next clue Friday morning! **********

SECOND CLUE

Hello gnome hunters!

I'm off again!
Did you see that 1959 Cary Grant movie?
MERCY, as I was traveling there was ICE on every TREE.
Even saw some colorful flying animals!

Good luck finding my password!
Gnomer

(You'll find the second password in a plastic bag)

Round 1 Winner

Hello gnome hunters!
Congratulations! Emmalee won the first round! The password was in the ceMETERy then by the grave of
Lou
Emma
Amason
Rice
(Acronym of King LEAR)

Will probably not post next clue for a few days since I just got home from the hospital. Uncle James is not doing well. Will probably have to go back tomorrow after school. So rest up and get ready to go again in a few days (maybe it will be warmer too!) Great job all!

First clue

Hi Gnome Hunters!
I went to a place that has a unit of measure in its name. Look for my password near the acronym of Shakespeare's king. Good luck! Call the Gnomemaster with the password when you find it. The next clue should lead you straight to my hiding place!

Gnome Hunt

Hi,
I am a gnome who has just escaped from a tree in which I had hung for about two years!
I am off to hide somewhere in the fair city of Albertville! I am a traveling gnome so I may move around but each time you find where I have been you will find a password. Giving that password to the Gnomemaster (Jo Ellen) will earn you points. Then finding me at my final destination will earn you points. The person with the most points at the end of the hunt will win a chocolate pie (and maybe dumplings). Runners up will receive other prizes.

Here I am going to my first stop. I think i can see where I'm going!

If you wish to participate in the gnome hunt- please e-mail joellenkash@yahoo.com and let me know! The first clue will be on this blog tomorrow!
Happy Hunting!
